ideas for improvement - PLEASE COMMENT

looking back over the blog, my approach seems to have been very scattergun, this is mainly because i need to get bets on,work pressures etc etc

however iam keen on ways i can improve the service and make more profit

so can the people who read this offer some suggestions.

i have two so far, one is the texting of my tips - free of charge. i want as many people to follow this blog s possible

the second is to post up weekend specials in addition to all other bets, basically keeping the stakes low but soemthing for the occassional punter to try his hand.

is the format of the blog ok, please comment. there seems to be a few people reading and i will take all feedback good/bad. just want to improve this.

keeping the powder dry

after some much needed bet reflection, i got too invloved at the weekend, too much was at stake, i got away with it in the end, some would say lucky twat but i feel i was due that bit of luck.

i still stand by the teams and horses i put up after looking back at my analysis, but i got it wrong.

anyway enough of my ramblings, at the moment looking at a couple of teams at the weekend as well as the horses.

the jump season is gearing up and this is where you will hopefully see the profits increase as i feel jump racing is my forte!!!

good luck

A profit in the end, and a decent one at that but to get there i had to take a couple of risks. I was always confident sea the stars would win, there was a little moment in the race when i panicked.

will be posting up a detailed reflection of bets as i feel i have been taking too many risks recently. further bets will follow either later tonight or tommorrow

DROGBA TO SCORE FIRST AND LAST £250 EACH 11/2 GENERAL PADDYPOWER/ CORALS/BLUESQUARE

WILL BE POSTING LATE SUNDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

nothing tonight apart from a cheeky goalscorer

the bother with the eurpa league is that you just cant compare form, there are that many poor teams in there its just a minefield.

looking at the teams, the likes of hamburg, galatasary, fulham, celtic should all win, but team selction always plays its part and sometimes these poor sides can achieve some remarkable results as the big boys tend to take it easy

at this stage, probably up to the quater finals, i wont venture in the europa league, its a god dam pile of piss!!!!. The championship thats were the real footballs played!!!

anyway going to be watching the celtic game and i think i can afford a cheeky first and last goal/ small stakes adds a bit of interest.

so SCOTT MCDONALD 9/2 GENERAL FIRST/ LAST £100 ON EACH

Wednesday, 30 September 2009

nothing ventured nothing gained

well, small loss, i underestimated wolfsburg, tipped them up the other week and looked back at that analysis after tonight's game, dunno just couldn't see them playing that well,i expected man u to win by 3 at least!!!!

well man city won easy in the end, tevez was awesome.

how lucky was that west ham goal.

anyway, not one to rest on laurels. i fancy inter Milan strongly., not going to detail out facts but basically they need to win, have the quality within the team and should win by the odd goal. The defence should be able to see them through.

Fw: Man City Reasoning

Some of you have commented that my write-ups on bets are not detailed enough.  This is because of two reasons, firstly I spend most of the time analysing and studying before I decide which bets to place and secondly getting the bets on takes a while.  I have tonight picked Man City to beat West Ham on both the normal betting market and the handicap (-1). Hopefully the following will give you an insight into how I come up with my assumptions:-

Please bear in mind this is the detailed analysis that goes into each selections

First the historic stats. Then the current stats, my assumptions, then the likely outcome.

Over the course of the last 3 seasons West Ham have played 57 premier away games, won 15, drawn 13, and lost 29.

They have scored in 84% of away games which is quite high when you compare with other teams in or around the top 10, but on average statistically they have conceded in every game.  That's not to say they conceded in every game but over the last 3 years they have conceded 1.4 goals per game away from home

Key stat – concede over 1.4 goals per away game

Over the course of the last 3 seasons Man city have played 57 premier home games, won 29, drawn 10 and lost 18.

They have scored on average in every home game, 1.36 goals per game.  Just looking over the last two seasons that is 1.78 goals per game. i.e when they started to bring in good players

Key stat Man City score on average 1.78 goals per home game

Key stat - West Hams heaviest away defeat was at Man City 2008/09 where they were gubbed 3 -0

Looking at this season

West Ham played 5, scored 5, concede 6, won 1, lost 3, drawn 1

Man City played 5, scored 11, conceded 6, won 4, lost 1, drawn 0

Stats wise – West Ham

West Ham win % 20% of games played won

Goals scored 1.0 per game

Goals conceded 1.2 per game

Whilst they have scored 1 goal per game away form home, 2 came against wolves and 1 against Bolton who between them have high goals against ratio

Key stat only one game won this season

Stats wise – Man City

Man City win % 80% of games played they have won

Goals scored per game 2.2

Goals conceded per game 0.8

Key stat, won 4 out of 5 and scoring 2.2 per game

To be fair were very unlucky to lose at the champions Man U.

My assumption is based on the following

In my view I feel Man City homes goals per game ratio will increase this season as they have a much improved squad with a number of proven premier league goalscorers.  Just looking at the last 3 seasons there has been a steady increase in this ratio.  Bear in mind that the team has never been better equipped to score than this season and current form figures back up this trend.

Looks like Santa Cruise is back, plus bellamy and Tevez who combined will provide goals

In terms of West Ham, whilst they have a decent historic away goals scored ratio, current form is very poor which means they will score less goals.  Across the previous seasons away form has been above average and as such the goals were scored.  I can see them conceding at least 2 goals this evening, based on the above noted facts. plus I simply cant see them scoring and feel Man City will just have too much for them.

Hope this gives a little insight.

PLEASE COMMENT

sorry haven't got time to do the tevez first/ last goal reasoning

not going to plan.

well tonights bets not going to plan.

ac milan, very poor, still 10 mins to go in the other match, lets hope we get out alive.

will be lumping on Man City on Monday. will post up detailed analysis some time during tommorrow and it will give an insight into how i come to my assumptions.

So Man City £2000 win 2/5 general

Carlos Tevez first/ last goal 11/2 totesport £300 first goal £300 last goal

Plus take Man City on the handicap they have a -1 start so have to win by 2 goals or more. i fancy them to win by 3 or 4. so £2000 at 6/5 corals, stan james/ skybet

sould have been worse

fortune favors the brave, well i got lucky in the end.

horses didnt go to plan, sunderland won easy in the end, canny game, will be updateing profit and loss after tonights bets.

the only real highlight was that dad got paid out on bent for the last goal, appareantly sky confirmed it as a bent goal then its has been changed, fuck who cares. putting these bets on now

going abroad tonight to Italy and France.

AC milan 4/11 lads £1000 win

Bordeuax 4/6 general £1000 win

plus a double on the above 2.22 dec corlas/ boylesports £1000 double

additional bets - not much time to get these on

just putting up my additional selections as i have to get these on .dad is helping today and Ive decided to go to the mackam match.

Sunnyiside Tom - 16.15 musselbourough c/d winner, improving this year 3 wins 3 places. just pipped last time , good jockey booking must get a place at least £250 ew 100/30 bet365

Ascendent - 16.35 - 5/4 general. Sir mark sends only one horse to the track for a sunday run, umm. horse is on the upgrade, will be able to dominate, has form over further so stays the trip well, should skate in odds short but a winners a winner

NAP OF THE DAY £1000 win.

14.40 Ascot - Drill Sergant - 12/1 ladbrokes. good course record, should like the going and trip great e/w value £250 ew

15.15 Acot - Dream Eater - 11/1 Hills. drop back in trip should suit this horse as he tends to race keenly, trainer tends to have decent priced winners in races like this £300 ew Hills 11/1

15.50 Ascot - Guest book looks to have sneaked in here, eye catching jockey booking, won well last time, will improve £1000 win NEXT BEST 3/1 ladbrokes.

many of you will note that this is my biggestest betting day of the year, i have been up nealry all night going through the cards and feel these horses have great chances. sorry for the short writeup but most of the time is spend getting the bets on.

Plase take the 9/2 on offer for darren bent to score first/ last for sunderland. bent will score today.

£350 bent to score first 9/2 betfred
£350 bent to score last 9/2 betfred

£600 bent to score anytime 11/8 boylesports

up early bets on, lets crack this

was up early today and got the money on Sunderland easily, took about an hourand a half to get round, have also had some horse bets on what i believe to be good things today. have a free ticket to the sunderland match have till 2pm to decide whether or not to go, fucking hate sunderland but always a better match when you have money on it ummmm

Horses.

Lost in Paris 13.55 mussel £200 win 5/2 general. dropping back in trip, front runner, will be able to dominate should win cosily

more bets to come

just dont listen to me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

going through a bit of a bad patch at the minute, need to stop the number of bets and focus on the ones i feel 85% confident on.

so.

sunder land £2500 win at 8/11 general.

nearly every bookie is taking the same stance, sunderland will win, home form is great, bent wants an England cap, 2//3// nil

Saturday, 26 September 2009

forthy thirty 14.40 market rasen

this horse is special.

will at least get a place

snap up the 7/2 now, its skated in last time watch the race , please please watch the race. Then look at the favorite with Mccoy on board and tell me the 7/2 is not value

£250ew bet365/ stan james

bets sooner than i thought - going for it this weekend

Well it hasn't taken as long to put together the weekends bets as i had initially thought.I have few other horses but want to wait until the day before i put up other selections.

Going to be going in with some decent bets this weekend, to be honest iam sick of not backing selections that i fancy to a greater degree, and appreciate that i started this to make money and that's what we are going to do this weekend. i have identified what i believe are decent chances of success, would say certainties but don't want to put the mockers on it

First up would have been RIP van winkle, but i just keep having this nagging doubt in my mind about his chances, he has the best form, but something is stopping me betting this horse. please be careful in this race, something Will stop rip winning but i dont know what!!!!!!.

so we have the footie just for now

Football

Charlton 1/2 corals £500 win. charlton will have far too much for the piss that is exeter 100% confidence. thats all that needs to be said!!!!

Notts County 4/7 corals £500 win. notts county will win, sols gone players will be looking to make a point, key man lee hughes back in contention, should win by 2/3 goals.

Forfar 1/2 corals/bet365/betfred. forfar are looking to catch berwick at the top and have made a decent start to season, elgin on the other hand will be battling relegation and will struggle here, they have a number of injursy problems and i expect a comfortable home win £500 win.

I will also have a Trixie on the above noted selctions. a trixie, for those who dont know is a mix of doubles and treble on above noted teams. a £200 trixie equals total stake £800

small lost - could have been a different story

well, at least they all didn't lose. Dead Heat, I've seen it all now. and two fourths you have to laugh!!!!!

back to the drawing board, hoping for a tremendous weekend will be detailing out my selections tonight, finalising during work tomorrow and getting bets on tomorrow night and early Saturday morning. Some horses may follow later on Saturday after i check the cards. want to get all bets on early so i have more time to study ...

TAXI - goodnight

horses for thursday night

going to put up some selctions i feel will do us justice tonight. keeping the stakes lowish

8pm kempton - Pont D'avigon £100ew. good run last time, has decent pedigree, some improve alot and get a place at least. 6/1 general

8.30 kempton Stoic £250 win 3/1 general - the horse is on for the hatrick, will handle the ground should have too much for these.

9.00 kempton - Qausi congaree 7/1 general.been racing well of late, been off for a short while to freshen up, has beaten horses which have went on to win easily.

the nap of the night £250ew

Wednesday, 23 September 2009

Man City let us down

Please can somehow tell me how Manchester city got beat.

lokks at the fulham squad for tonight and please tell me.

a fucking joke!!!!!!

i just cant seem to get a run going!!!

its off to Manchestarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

been flying round as many hills shops as possible this afternoon after work. have managed to get £1800 at 1.77 for the manchester double, was allowed up to £300 in each shop quite easily. just a fucking pain getting round em all, is hills shop strategy to have them placed in the most obscure places!!!!!!!

man city & manchester united win 1.77 double £1800

wasnt going to have a bet but folliwing some further research late last night, which invloved looking at the records of both teams in the third round, particulary team selctions i was convinced that these two are home bankers.

going out now to watch the match, sorry for late post, will be looking to set up text alerts for those interested .

good luck

SUNDERLANNNNNNDDDD

well that was easy, wish they were all like that.

wont be getting too caried away, might put a football up for wednesday night, just working on stats now.

followers you seem to have dissapeared from the blog somehow!!! appear to be still there but not showing on blog ?????

flu had me laid low - BET OF THE MONTH!!!!!!!!!!!!

sorry for not posting at the weekend , wasn't feeling well at all so just left it in the end apart from channons shit horse!!!!

have just finished getting bets on.

Tonight's nap , BET OF THE MONTH is Sunderland at 8/11 lads/ corals / hills they are an absolute steal have managed to get £2200 on. most of it in the high street and a little with bet365 (450). I just cant see how a Birmingham side with reserves in and some poor first teamers can beat a Sunderland side who will be strong. yes they will rest some players but not to the extent of Birmingham who are down to the bare bones squad wise. Sunderland were unlucky at the weekend to Burnley and will be looking to bounce back, whereas Birmingham are trying to keep focused on the premier league and don't give two hoots about this competition. Bruce will want Sunderland to progress in this cup, make no mistake about that, he'll want to win, whereas MacLeish will just send the boys out for a run out. iam absolutely sure of it, honest i am

i really really fancy Sunderland to win comfortably tonight, and what with me being a Newcastle fan that is a hard thing for me to say.

If your having a bet this evening be careful as the Carling cup often throws up a few upsets, but if you want to many some easy money, go to the bank get as much as you can and put it on Sunderland to WIN. 100% confidence!!!!!!!!

Saturday, 19 September 2009

14.35 Ayr Music Show

cant seem to take my eyes off MUSIC SHOW in the 2.35 at Ayr.

looks to be improving with every run, i think it is well hanicapped and has a massive chance of beating the favorite who i beleieve is way overpriced for what he has achieved. Channon is not sneding a horse all the way to ayr for the experinece he expects it to win

so with that i have £150ew at 8/1 with bet365

still struggling to finalise the teams,

Friday, 18 September 2009

working on teams

feeling a bit under the weather but working on teams now.

i will simply post teams and bets, hope ive not got the swine flu.

horses will be up by luchtime hopefully

Wednesday, 16 September 2009

profits going the right way BUT

well have made a slight profit this week but for all the hard work it doesnt seem worth it. wish i had put the two naps in a double, it just doesnt seem to be going my way this week, the wins have basically cancelled out the lossess, ok i suppose still up just over 3.5k since i started so should not really complain as things didnt start too well. will bypass the europa league in the thinking that i will spend time on the weekend selections. Horses and teams to follow, teams will be posted on firday with horses either late friday or early saturday morning.

good luck

please post

Best football chant of the weekend 88.26 mins "We are top the league, say we are top the league" says its all about the Newcastle fan. Class!!!!!

Wednesday bets

Typing this out for the second time after a computer problem, always a pisser when that happens. maybe the wine?? who knows,

Well wolfsburg won easy in the end, slight panic, but easy in the end.

Wednesday bets comprise of two teams.

Newcastle and Dynamo Kiev.

Firstly Kiev the return of shevchenko and team strengthening should see a comfortable home win. the even money should be snapped up. hills/vc/ boylesports . you can get better at bet365, but i'll not be able to get a grand on. £1000 win Dynamo kiev. evens.

The difference will be shevchenko, look at his champs league record!!! can someone tell me the last time Kiev got beat at home!!!

Secondly my beloved Newcastle, always a sucker for putting up my own team, but just starting to realise that they may be just too good for this league the 6/5 at betfred is tooo tempting to ignore. so £500 win.

£500 double at betfred Newcastle/ kiev, just so we can gets on. will split the bets 200/300 Internet/high street.odds decimal 4.2 betfred

to recap.

NAP OF THE DAY DYNAMO KIEV £1000 win evens

Newcastle £500 win 5/6

£500 dounle on Newcastle/ Kiev. 4.2 dec.

anyone with anytime check out the charlton highlights on bbc i player its still pisses me off !!!!!

good luck

a small profit

well.

Wolfsburg won, was nearly sweating but easy win as expected in the end. Ipswich had the best of it but came short again, disappointing after that early goal should have set it up.

QPR called off - what the fuck!!! they took my money, should get it back tomorrow.

just preparing teams for tomorrow

anyone into wine sainsbury is doing wolfsblass half price, very nice!!!

bets to follow.

Tonights Bets

Writing this from work, have some bets on some to get on after work.

The weekend didn't go to plan, just seen the Charlton game two goals disallowed!!!!! Are you F@@King kidding me or what.

Was nursing my wounds over the last day or so but also been doing some detailed research into tonight's matches.

Was contemplating a big punt on a Chelsea / Real Madrid Double but the odds look too short.

So I have focused my attention on teams that need to win.

First up is Ipswich at 13/10 at Boylesports looks a decent price.  Keano has come out fighting this week and may only have a few games left to save his skin.  Ipswich are playing well to be fair and have lots of chances in games, its only going to take someone to start putting em away and they will get back up the league.

Second QPR, Corals 10/11, Hills 10/11 my bogie team!!! I fancy them tonight against Palace who I feel are one of the poorest teams in this division.  Again QPR need to click at home but I feel they will come good tonight

In the Champions League I feel I have found a team who are vastly underrated in terms of ability, this is reflected in the price.  The Team – WOLFSBURG 4/5 generally

Last seasons German champions take on a side who has one of the worst away records in Chamions League history and who are managed by one of the worse managers ever to set foot on British soil  Ramos.  Wolksburg were unlucky to lose at home to Bayer L. 3-2 at the weekend and will be going out all guns blazing to get their first win in the Champs League.  The pace of Martins up front should ensure chances are a plenty.  Anyone who has ever seen a Wolfsburg game will see the passions and atmosphere created by the fans and its in a caldron like this that the Russians usually collapse.

So have managed to get £500 on the phone with bookies and will be going to the high street after work to meet a pal and between us I expect to get the other £500 on.

So it's a grand WOLFSBURG to win 4/5 generally Nap of the day

Ipswich £500 win 13/10 got on with Boylesports, spread the bet over 2 accounts, no bother getting on

QPR £500 win 10/11 - £200 corals on the phone, £100 hills, rest on the high street tonight

Will also have a £100 treble on the three teams noted. Just for a bit of fun!!!!!!!!

Saturday, 12 September 2009

not the start i was looking for

umm.
not the start i was looking for. fallon looked to have judged the pace well, but the horse just drifted away in the end.

Not to worry. going to have an e/w bet on the ledger.

Monitor Closley £200ew. 4/1 generally on the net, lads/corals/hills/bet365

I believe this horse has an outsanding chance on recent efforts, has rock solid form. looks to be improving, will like the going and i am 95% will at least get a place so this is a bet to nothing. i feel it will win thats why iam backing it but as always in these events something can come along to mock you.

going to the gym after this to watch the footie so no more bets today. betting more than i should but i feel iam on a roll (famous last words!!!!!)

phew. bets on could it be any hotter today

well got the bets on and got a sweat on its boiling today.

also had a cheeky £100 treble on anytime goalscores

£100 just over 13/1 with bet365.

Torres 4/7
Darren bent 11/10
Loyd Sam 10/3

Cant believe the price for Lolyd Sam the kid is on fire!!!!

good luck

putting this up early - cant believe the value

I keep going on about the Fallon factor, but at 8/1 Jaconet 14.25 doncaster is a cracking e/w bet. the horse has solid form and is on a hatrick. just watch the way it won its last race. Barron is a rogue and will have this horse primed for this prize. With top jockey Fallon on board he is almost certain to at least steal a place. Check out his form on the ground and puts everthing in his favor. iam keen on this.

going out now to get this 8/1 will be putting £200 ew on what i believe is the value bet of the day. will be looking elsewhere as well today once bets are on good luck

nothing like a bad party to get the betting juices flowing

well the party was shite and i have bailed early.

so i have some time to put some background to the teams

Charlton 4/6 corals £500 win single
most of the talk in this division surround Leeds and Jermaine beckford. well the kid is decent but hyped. Loyd Sam in my opinion is something special, pace, strength and an eye for goal. i feel he will be the difference here. Charlton are flying and confidence is high, a team in form against the bottom side at 4/6 corals a steal!!!
95% confidence

Preston 4/5 Hills - £500 win single

unbeaten this season, decent home record, hard working, decent historic homes form
Irvine will be pushing this team, make no mistake about it, a hard working decent outfit who i feel will dispose of Swansea by 1 or 2 goals. Swansea lack that cutting edge since Gomez and Scotland have departed, too many no mark foreign players fill the ranks and whilst they have 5 points so far, i don't expect them to get too many more. Preston will win 85% confidence, as always the championship is a battlefield but my money is down!!!!!

price for the double

3.19 dec. corals £300

good luck

teams for the weekend

going out now.

have two teams for the weekend. i feel both have outstanding chances, back them single and then double them up.

Charlton £500 win single

Preston £500 win single

Plus a double on Charlton and Preston £300 both to win

will be using best price on the high street for bets. sorry for the short post had planned on a detailed writeup but the Misses is dragging me out to a party, so will be spending most of sat morning trawling the bookies to get the bets on.

good luck if you re following, will post horses up by 1.30pm

football - time to get revenge - back in style

England - £500 win 8/13 generally lads/ bet365/stan james

Its time for England to get revenge over the croats. the defeat last time will still be fresh in the memory of most of these players and i fancy a 2/3 nil scoreline.

cappelo's boys have a great record and can seal a place in the world cup tomorrow night. people will go on how Croatia do well against England but i think England will dispose of a team who without modric are lacking that vital link to bring the team together.

Portugal £500 win 4/7 lads

they simply have to win and will!!!!!!!!!

Italy £500 win - 2/5 bet 365

a comfortable home win, odds are short but a wins a win 100% confidence

plus a £500 acca, England, Portugal and Italy. 3.38dec. Ladbrokes

good luck if your following

feeling refreshed now so will follow this with a couple of football bets for tommorrow night. will be updating regularly now. good luck if your betting

Refreshed and ready to go again

Well I've had a great holiday and iam ready to go again. The only thing that pissed me off was the Aussies losing the cricket, how unpatriotic of me...........

will be updating the results over the next couple of days, not great but there is a long way to go. bets will be posted on Saturday morning just easing my way back into work and stuff so please bear with me.

Sunday, 23 August 2009

chelsea are looking strong and i fancy them to win by 2/3 today. £500 win

plus Drogba to score anytime 13/8 corals £250 and Anelka to score anytime 15/8 corals £250.

i feel chelsea will create chances and i fancy goals strongly!!!!!!!!

bets for the week ahead

well. close tonight but no cigar. horse looked to be travelling well but just pipped, some you win some you lose.

have been getting bets on this evening already, going to be going in big by my standards over the next few days on what i believe are excellent chances of success. I thought i would adopt this approach as i will be having a couple of weeks off due to holidays and i want to increase the profits for when i come back. that sounded quite arrogant[, not meant to be but i believe i have identified winning opportunities

Like tonight's meteors showers here come the bets

Australia to win the final test match 6/5 Ladbrokes/Corals £2500 win NAP

I feel the Australians have the but between their teeth, England have dropped players and don't appear to have decided yet on the starting lineup. relying on a half fit flintoff is too much of a risk in my view. Don't normally bet on cricket but the Aussies should be shorter, weather forecast looks OK so i expect an comfortable win for Aussies,

Golf USPGA - Woods is looking good and whilst i feel he is 85% certain to win i just cant back him at the price after his open collapse there are too many with chances in the field and whilst i don't mind lumping on short priced favs Woods is a nono in my book. I hope the following players will do me justice.

The Spanish enigma Sergio Garcia £100 ew 35/1 bet365

Anthony Kim £50 ew 50/1 bet365

WESTWOOOOOOOD Lee Westwood £25ew 30/1 bet365

Great St Wilfred

£100 ew valory borzov 12/1 William hills

a tough filly looks to have good ew chance putting this up early so i hope the ground/ draw is in her favor been running well and i think she has a race like this in her.

Ebor - Red Merlin 8/1 betfred £100 ew

looks like the money horse of the race, wish it was my acca going on this one. trainer has confirmed it will be going all out for this, looks well treated on previous form, don't think ground conditions will be a problem. so a good e/w option

Yorkshire Oaks - midday 5.2 Betfair £100 win NB, backed. Note if its available at 5/1 or bigger back it 100 e/w with a BOG bookie

A horse i really like, has the profile to win this, trainer thinks it will go well, should handle the ground, all the talk is on the favorite but the last time it met midday there are excuses for my horse. so with that the 5.2 looks a bit of value, when prices come out if it is 5/1 or bigger back it e/w

Football - odds in decimal

Chelsea, Man U, Man City £1000 accumulator betfred 3.17 Betfred.
The top three should make easy meat of the opposition, man city are a fantastic price for an away win seemed to have been priced up on last years form with no recognition of the signings made. Chelsea and man u will win simply as that, nothing more to say on the matter

Newcastle, Villa, Cardiff £500 accumulator 8.93 Bet365

my beloved newcastle played well on saturday and with the home drowd behind em i expect a home win, villa should have too much for wigan, too much pace and power by a mile. cardiff play against the luckiest team this year blackpool, how they won at qpr i will never know, watch the bbc highlights if you dont belive me, cardiff won again yesteday and will have too mcuh for pool.....

so total stakes £4850 all bets on apart from the cricket, which will be on by 10.30 in the morning. my troops are redy to punch haha to steal a veitch quote!!!!

£2500 austrialia 6/5 win
£200 sergio 35/1 =100ew
£100 kim 50/1 = 5-ew
£50 westwwod 30/1 = 25ew
£200 valory bortzov = 100ew
£200 red merlin = 100ew
£100 Midday + possible £100 place
£1000 man u, chelsea, man city = 1000 acca
£500 newcastle, villa, cardiff = 500 acca

Will try to update during holiday if i can, if anyone sees a man on a bridge during the week, just ask if his name is Lea!!! hopefully it will all go to plan and i will come back refreshed and much richer.

wishing you all the best lea.

Update

Well what a weekend.  Still feeling a little groggy even today.  Was thinking late last week that we had make good progress in terms of profit in a month, maybe that led to me thinking that I should go in with large stakes for the opening day of the season, should have known better.  Middlesborogh dissapointed, followed by QPR, who by all accounts bossed the game and Cradiff won easily so I got the analysis spot on for one team at least.  The horse selcetions dissapointed as well, couple of places to get out of jail really.  It took me 3 and a half hours to get the bets on, on saturday and I then retreated to the pub for 11 hours, ended up drowning my sorrows and it was looking pretty bleak until last night when I decided to have a couples of nudges.  Have my dad to thank for the winner in the last, apprantley his mate reckoned it would skate in and was mad keen on it, it did just win and has appeared to have got me out of the mire.  Still about a grand down from last Friday morning but still in profit since I started so that's a postive.

Will be on my tod this evening so will be looking at the cards and will be highly likley to put up some slections.  Going on holiday on Friday for 2 weeks, so unless I can get on somehere will not be posting for a while!!!!!

The US PGA starts soon and have been looking in depth at the players, Woods looks to be in fine form at 7/4 no real value, but if he wins it could look like a snip.  Padraig 22/1 from memory, should have never corrected his swing , maybe though there is a little fire in his belly might sneak a place, others woth looking at westwood, garcia

The Premiership and the Ebor coming up, Dads going to Ebor so should have no problem getting on, on course.  Will Sea the Stars win, I'll not be backing it, probabley will LOL.

Don't really bet on the cricket but word is that the Aussies looked nailed on at 5/4 umm contenplating it.

Will post up selctions for the golf/ football and ebor later tonigt. Maybe the cricket if I can convince myself on the stats.

Regards

A FUCKING HORROR SHOW!!!!!!!

ONE SHOT ON TARGET!!!!!!

says it all really. i have seriously overestimated boro or seriously underestimated sheff united either way the weekend bets are down before Saturday has even come. not to worry have been putting in 3 hours of research this evening and plan to go in heavy tomorrow.

i will update in a while or so when i have got most of the money on its a bit of a pain having to do it in numerous smalls bets, but needs must. hoping for a better day,

will update shortly

why the teams plus another bet

I think the boro will simply have too much pace up front for sheff untd.

Anyone who has seen emnes knows he is very quick and in this division that gets you goals.  i'm hoping Lita plays as i think these too can tear the sheff utd defence apart.  some key untd players are out paddy kenny, lee hendrie, they do have the debut biy ched evans but in my view he is an average player who lacks pace.  Sheff utd are fancied in some quaters but i dont think they will cope with a resurgant boro who will be looking to get off to a good start

boro have been going well in pre season and seem to have a setttled team, i expect a comfortable 2-3 to nil win.

the other two teams i fancy are cardiff and qpr.

cardiff have a little class in this division, ledley, bootroyf and chopra all set to play, had been unlucky last season they should be able to get a playoff place this season.  at home to scunthorpe should be an easy 3 points, scunthorpe have just came into the division and look a poor side, if fact they have always been a poor side, again i fancy cardiff to win by 2 or 3 comfortably

QPR, have the backing and the players i feel this season to get an automtic spot. ddint really perform as expected last season but this time round i think we will see improvement.  Blackpool had a good record against QPR last season, but the team now appears to be full of journeyman and if the ex ipswich forward billy clarke is all qpr have to worry about then it should be another 3 easy points by 2 or 3 goals

I will also have £50 on Emnes to score first  7/1 bet365

and £50 on Emnes to score last 7/1 bet365

COME ON BORO COME ON BORO

Well Ive hummed and harred all afternoon as to whether or not to put boro in my three team acca and put them up as my nap of the weekend and i have come to the thinking that i should follow my gut instinct and back the boro. I will also include Cardiff and QPR in the weekend treble.

Middlesboro. 13/10 BET365 £500 win - NAP

Three team acca with BET 365. £200 treble

Boro 13/10
cardiff 4/6
QPR 8/11

you can get better odds on betfair but i don't know at this point if those odds are still there. BET 365 are definitely there.

I will post my reasoning in the next post but need to start getting bets on now, should take about 40 Min's will be back

Fw: PUKKA PIES DONT COMPROMISE!!!!!!!!

The start of the Pukka Pies Don't Compromise league starts on Friday night; the excitement is nearly killing me NOT.  The championship and lower leagues are some of the hardest to predict, but sometimes we can find a team/ teams that can scrape home by the odd goal.  This season looks tough in the Championship with my beloved Newcastle , WBA and Boro looking to bounce straight back, throw in Ipswich , QPR, Palace, plus the odd surprise package the Championship looks the place to be.

I hear were going to have the delights of a new Match of the Day program showing championship highlights, I wonder what they will call it, surely not Match of the Day 3.  Anyway enough of my ramblings, I am taking careful consideration over the weekend selections and have a few teams in mind so far

Boro, MK Dons, QPR, Cardiff , Charlton and Norwich

Early analysis leads me to thinking that they may be a little over priced; I will narrow the teams down to a maximum of 4 selections.   I've found over recent season that it is possible to have a 7/8/9 team acca up but there is always one lets you down, notably my team Newcastle , so I have tended to focus more on doubles and trebles with a decent strike rate, he says!!!.  I do tend to favor home team early in the season , just because we cant really start assessing away form until a least say 10 games in, that's not to say I wouldn't put up an away team as a selection.

Will also have some horse race selections for Friday and Saturday, have a couple in mind but need to start looking at previous races.  The attheraces archive is a great tool, seen as I am not going to use the Racing Post website, can't believe they are making you pay for the service, has left a bad taste in my mouth!!!!!

Will update later today

Good luck if you're betting

That will do nicely

a 14/1 winner at last, with the footie season just round the corner, just the boost i needed. takes us to about 2k profit in less than a month so not to bad. will be posting up a summary of the month prior to my 2 weeks holiday. taking my time before the weekend to try and find some teams that we can perm up in doubles and trebles.

i do love an accumulator on a Saturday followed by a few pints and sky sports, doesn't always go down too well with the missus like,

hope you are all well, as you can probably tell i am quite happy.

will post up any horses for Friday, on Thursday night when i should also be putting up the footie selections.

good luck

back in distance

trainer has knack of big priced winners at this track

looking at the form last time seemed he raced too keenly. I expect Kingscote, to sit in the middle and come late. at 14/1 Victor Chandler looks at cracking 50 ew bet

MAJOR MAGPIE MAGIC!!!!!!!!

Seen as my beloved team Newcastle is up the creek without a paddle I have turned my attentions today to a horse I think has an excellent e/w chance.

Major Magpie 4.40 Pontefract. 50ew at 6/1 Bet365

Reasons

1) Proven course and distance winner. Horse appears to love the track. 4/5 here

2) Dodds the trainer in fine form, won a good race at carlisle the opther night with a newcomer Mr Grinch – Should have backed it!!!!

3) His other poor races can seem to be excused as he doesn’t seem to like other tracks, strange but true.

I think its well in on previous form, will need to pick up at little but at 6/1 makes a value bet IMO.

Will be updating later today with some football bets and more horses, been busy at work but will try to update daily

Good luck

NAP at Market Rasen - SHIWAVA

Its looks like i have identified a sure thing, LOL. No seriously, i like the look of this horse

1) Proven course and distance winning form
2) down in weight
3) should be able to dictate race as field is reduced due to non runners
4) the others have major questions to answer notably Mccoys mount who has going to have to be some horse on the ratings to beat Shiwava. the price is short because Mccoy is on board and the bookies are wanting to get it backed.

I am 95% confident that Shiwava will skate in and at 10/11 bet365 BOG i am going to have £500 WIN on now must go as i need to get this money on now.

Good luck

GREED GREED GREED

Well greed got the better of me last night. I wasn't even going to have a bet until my mate called, i didn't even spend a great deal of time on the last race at Hamilton and i have paid the price, wont be making that stupid mistake again. Just goes to show how greed effects us i thought i could just look at the card and find the winner, BANG just like that,

I was having such a good day.

anyway the football starts next week and hopefully we should have some decent jump racing coming up. Going to spend the next hour or so looking to see if there is anything of interest today.

getting the stakes right - future staking plan

It appears that i keeping making errors when i'm putting bets up on the blog and then referncing them on OBLG i am not always puttting in the same stake. this is beacuse 1) i'm rushing too much, 2) sometimes the bank on OBLG wont allow me to match stakes. All my bets are referenced there but ths LSP and other stat figures look shite as i have failed to put in correct stakes. My apologies

I know i mentioned this in an earlier post but i have failed to follow my own words, so i will adopt the folliwng staking plan so that all bets will reflect my stakes and we should see the stats improve somewhat. its pretty straighforward

will get bet on oblg now

never listen to your mate at the track

my mate at hamilton rang to say that the horse was getting well backed and he thought it looked great in the paddock. What a load of bollocks, the thing didnt even get into it, should have just let it ride, but then again if it had won i would have kicked myself.

looking at the last race at hamilton now seen as iam back on the laptop.

will post selection in a couple of minutes

8.40 hamilton - old firm 33/1

just had word backing it £50ew at 33/1 bet365.

I LOVE BOG BOOKIES- Zacinto

You can imagine my delight when i walked into betfred and seen the horse i advised at 7/4 trading at 5/2, fuck me i though it drifted out like a bad thing, i was sure it was a goner, but seeing it romp home i was delighted even more delighted when i realised it was BOG haha, Now i did advise at 7/4 betfred, so i should be able to post up the winner as 5/2 is that fair i think it is, if i had advised another bookie i would have had to take my oil, but i will post up the winner as 5/2
2.30 Goodwood. Zacinto. 7/4 betfred advised , returned 5/2

Something strange also happened today as i was asked in the shop if i had placed another bet on the same horse at the other shop, now i did do, but of course i denied it, she left it at that really no real enquiry, will get a pal to pick up them winnings I had placed 2 x £200 and my pal had placed a £100 win, a little food for though i think will keep out for a while.

back over a grand in profit, advising on the blog is more stressful than i thought but enjoyable on days like this.

Saturday bets

Out and about today so havent got that much time for analysis, but here goes .

I like the look of a couple today.

2.30 Goodwood. Zacinto. 7/4 betfred. I think that the horse is potentailly well treated, the yard is in fine form this week and looks to have some improvemenmt to come. I'll make this the nap of the day. price is short but hey hoy £500 win.

2.10 Newmarket. Exotic Beauty. 10/1s most places. Won its last in good style, and was well backed has been placed on all 3 occasions, i think it will improve for the cut in the ground. £100 ew.

3.40 Goodwood Binou 18/1 bet365. looks to have been laid out for this just seen trainer interview on attheraces, which led me to look at previous form, nothing much to get excitied about, but i'll take my chance at big odds. £50ew

off shopping now, cant wait will be watching in the bookies

hopefully can start finding some more decent priced winners, will update account soon just about level i think. the football is just around the corner and tends to be quite profitable for me so tempted to wait a while, but saying that when i look at the cards something could pop up.

Wednesday looks a little tricky at Goodwood, i feel we may be in for some shocks, Galway as always is interesting.  Going to go back down to some more socially acceptable stakes it also takes the pressure off my heart.  Increasing the stakes when you are sure a horse will win is one thing but to keep doing it day after day is another.

so with that in mind the selections are as follows:-

14.10 Goodwood - Som Tala  14/1 stan james  £50 ew- Good jockey booking, channons horses going well, won the plate last time out, sure to like the ground, top weight slight worry but at the odds looks a good e/w bet.

14.45 Goodwood - Dreamspeed.  6/1 £100 ew Blue Square I liked the way in which the horse won last time, it looked to be staying on strongly after a bad start, surely there will be more to come.  balding is a good trainer for getting his horses ready for the big occassions

16.00 Goodwood - Barwell Bridge.  20/1 £50 ew Blue Square Horse has good place and win stats, s.kirk is a trainer i like, was beaten by cosmic sun but at the odds looks inviting for an each way punt.  I also think he will like the ground

16.25 Galway -Roby De Chimbre 9/2 Corals £500 win- I think Paul Nicholls does not just cross the irish sea for the guiness and whiskey, this horse has been laid out for this, just like the one he sent last year.  I believe it has the best chance of the horses lisetd above the odds are short considering the sixe of the field but i will make it the nap of the day and lump on.  Another one in the race i like is OOdachee 20/1 Corals £50ew, course and distance winner at the odds its definatley worth a small e/w punt, so i'll hav at on OOdachee

PS Also just realised on OBLG that if iam not putting up the same stakes for my tips as per the blog then the figures looked skewed.  i will from now on post my tips on there in the following format.

if i bet £250 on here it will be £25 on OBLG if i bet £500 on here it will be £50 on oblg you get the drift.  I will try my best to match stakes on oblg but if i fancy a large bet then my balance on oblg may not allow.  I want oblg to reflect whats the blog shows. Please feel free to check as all tips are advised on there just stakes are different.

Phew - what a day

I can tell you i was sweating after that first race when William Blake should have got 3rd place if not better, not a great ride. However things picked up after that and were back in profit. Looking at the cards for tommorrow now so might be posting up later.

I have altered the blog slighty and posted a summary of all the bets placed so far. they are all refererenced on OBLG. the smarter ones will notice that the stakes i advise on here are sometimes not the same as OBLG this is beacuse you have a balance on OBLG that you cant exceed, however all bets put up on here are evidenced on OBLG.

In terms of posting up screenshots i'd rather not. two reasons, i use a range of peoples betting accounts and secondly i like to bet in cash when its possible. If you dont believe me then fair enough, hope you enjoy reading the blog and when its showing a large profit i'll await your kind words!!!!!

Good Luck
